Director of Channel Sales (West)


Location:Western territory (near LAX, SFO or other major hubs) (Greater Los Angeles Area)

Sipera is expanding its North American Sales team with immediate openings across the country for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a sales territory and managing to a quota across multiple verticals
  • Selling through an indirect channel model and developing a run rate business
  • Presenting the business and technical value of the products to the channel and customers
  • Documentation of activities, opportunities, and deal progression utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Liaison between the field, marketing, product management, and operations aiding in the development and prioritization of product roadmap
  • Development and implementation  of territory and channel business plans necessary to attain financial objectives
  • Demonstrating the product onsite and offsite to prospective customers and channels
  • Leading RFI / RFP responses
  • Acting as a trusted consultant and adviser  to the channel partner and customer
  • Acting as the customer’s advocate within the company
  • Aid in identification, onboarding, and enablement of multiple sales channels such as Value Added Resellers, Carriers, System Integrators, and distributors
  • Aiding Marketing with profiles of competitive products and technologies, suggesting content for collateral, and attending trade shows
  • Aiding with development and delivery of channel  training and incentive programs

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10  years sales and sales management experience specifically selling through indirect channels such as VARs, Service Providers, and Distributors
  • Direct experience in building a multimillion dollar run rate business within a territory from ground zero
  • Relevant indirect sales experience specifically with Unified Communications, application security Vendors, SIP trunking, and Session Border Controllers.
  • Experience with network architecture (switching, routing)
  • Understanding of encryption and network security
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Compelling presentation and communications skills
  • Ability to work alone without daily direction
  • Travel within territory as necessary
