Jim most recently was Vice President of Channels at Top Layer Security. He previously was Vice President of North American Sales at 3Com, where he led the sales efforts of 3Com to enter the large enterprise communications equipment market. Before that, Jim held senior management roles in sales at Avaya Communications and Redback Networks. Earlier in his career, he served in key sales positions at Cisco Systems, SYNOPTICS/BAY Networks, DEC and Unisys.
Jim holds degrees in Management Information Systems, Business/Data Processing and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Chuck Pledger is the Vice President of World Wide Channel Sales and brings over 25 years of global experience in the healthcare and technology industry with a strong track record of success in startups.
Most recently Chuck was the Vice President of World Wide Global Channel Sales at AeroScout where he was responsible for many aspects of the global reseller channel including; strategy, contracts and communications. Chuck previously served senior sales positions at, Vocera Communications, Santera Systems and Cisco.
Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical (Electrical) Engineering from Wright State University.
Gil Stevens is the Vice President of Engineering for Sipera and is responsible for managing the end-to-end software development, from engineering and design to testing and support. He brings over 25 years of extensive experience in R&D management, product management, innovation, and customer support acquired through his tenure at Nortel, DSC, Alcatel, Qwest Communications, and various start-up entities.
His executive management experience has included managing business units with overall P&L responsibility of $80 Million in revenue and managing R&D organizations of over 300 people. Gil has a strong passion around network service performance, privacy, and cyber-security.
Gil holds a B.A. in Math/Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A.
Jim Timmer is Chief Financial Officer, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in senior financial management roles to directing Sipera's finances, human resources and operations. Throughout his career, Jim has played a pivotal leadership role in new company growth, new market penetration, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Most recently, Jim was CFO at Ambit Energy, a retail energy firm, where Jim was recognized as a finalist in the Dallas-Ft. Worth CFO of the Year competition. Before that, Jim was CFO at AirBand Communications, the largest fixed wireless company for business customers in the United States. Jim previously held senior financial leadership positions at Birch Telecom, VarTec Telecommunications, Excel Communications, and Verizon.
Jim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and he received an MBA from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
