John Lochow
President and Chief Executive Officer

 

John joined Sipera Systems in 2008 with over 25 years experience leading both large and small companies with technology solutions for enterprises and service providers. As President and CEO, John drives Sipera’s overall strategy and business plan.

Prior to joining Sipera, John was President and CEO of Syndesis Limited where he grew revenues from about $6 to $60 million by helping service providers create and provision competitive broadband networking solutions. Syndesis was recently acquired by Subex Azure, a company traded on the Indian Stock Exchange.

Previously, John Lochow served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Systems and Logistics at Tech Data. During his tenure at Tech Data, he led the development and deployment of their e-commerce capability, making Tech Data one of the Top 10 Business-to-Business Internet commerce companies in the United States . John also held the position of Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Bell Canada, Canada’s largest service provider and concurrently held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Bell Sygma Inc., Bell Canada ’s IT subsidiary, and Bell Sygma International, Bell Canada ’s commercial software development spin-off, with operations in 12 countries worldwide. John joined AT&T Bell Labs in 1976, after 7 years of service with the U.S. Air Force, where he flew combat missions into North Vietnam and Cambodia . At AT&T, he worked in computer operations and later did planning and design for the company's various PBX and networking products.

John holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Thomas Edison University and has completed Harvard Business School 's Advanced Systems Management program, as well as the AT&T Executive Education Program offered by MIT. He has been recognized by Information Week as one of the Top 100 IT executives in the United States and one of the Top 100 Leaders for the New Millennium by CIO Magazine.

 
 Andy Asava
Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Andy joined Sipera Systems in 2007 and currently serves as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales.  Andy has over 21 years of telecom industry experience and trust-based relationships with Fortune 1000 enterprise accounts across key verticals, Unified Communication and security reseller/distributor partners, Unified Communication vendors along with the top 100 global carriers.


Prior to Sipera, Andy was the Vice President of CDMA Business Strategy at Nortel where he spent almost 15 years. At Nortel, Andy also drove the 3G UMTS business in Western Europe based out of Paris, France and also was the CTO for Wireless Internet driving the Asia-Pacific based out of Hong Kong.  At Nortel, Andy was a key innovator and has earned many patents in emerging technology areas. 


Andy has an MBA in International Management from the University of Dallas along with a Masters and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from th e University of Michigan.  Recently, Andy was also the adjunct MBA professor at the University of Dallas.

 

Adam Boone
Vice President of Marketing & Product Line Management


Adam Boone is VP of Marketing & Product Line Management for Sipera, where he leads the company’s marketing, product management, demand generation, strategic positioning and related areas.
With nearly 21 years of experience in marketing, communications and strategy, Adam previously was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Subex, the global market leader for telecom business optimization solutions and fraud management. 

Adam also held management positions in leading companies in network equipment, unified communications, telecommunications software and related industries, including Marconi, FORE Systems, Syndesis and CoManage.

As a strategic marketing consultant, Adam provided communications and marketing strategy guidance to a host of companies, including multiple members of the Fortune 500, in the communications, green technologies, consumer product goods, energy, manufacturing and commodities sectors.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Business Strategy from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and fulfilled the Competitive Marketing Strategy Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Greg Flowers
Chief Financial Officer

Greg joined Sipera Systems in 2006 as VP of Finance and brings over 20 years of financial management experience to this position.

Prior to Sipera, Greg was the vice president of Gtess Corporation, where he was responsible for all financial and operational planning activities. He was the key driving force behind operational efficiencies and financial plans that significantly improved the company’s cash position. Greg also held senior finance positions at Alcatel, where he integrated three acquisitions, increased operating profits and proposed risk mitigation strategies for over $1 billion in customer proposals.

Greg has a BA in Economics from Fort Lewis College and an MBA from Baylor University.

 

Drew Bloczynski
Senior Director of Technology

Drew leads Sipera’s technical direction and strategy.  He brings to Sipera more than 15 years of experience in engineering, technology strategy and deployment of solutions in networking, telecommunications, IT applications and security.

Prior to Sipera, Drew served in solutions consulting and sales engineering capacities at Subex, the global market leader for telecom business optimization solutions and fraud management solutions.  Drew previously served in solutions engineering and technology consulting roles at Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel-Lucent) and Nortel.  He started his career in IT systems and network management for one of the world’s largest enterprises, Exxon Corporation.

Drew holds a degree in computer science from the University of Oklahoma.
