Sipera Extends Executive Team With CMO Eric Winsborrow

Industry Veteran to Lead Marketing, Product Management and Business Development

Richardson, TX, May 14, 2007 – Sipera Systems, the leader in pure security for VoIP, mobile and multimedia communications, today announced Eric Winsborrow has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). Winsborrow will report directly to CEO Seshu Madhavapeddy, and lead all marketing, product management, and business development activities.

Prior to Sipera, Winsborrow was the vice president of Product Marketing for McAfee, where he conceived and executed the most successful launch in company history, Total Protection Solutions, repositioning the company from anti-virus to security risk management. Winsborrow also held executive positions in marketing, product management and business development at leading security companies, including Symantec, Sygate, and Cloudmark, and unified communications vendors Cisco, Lucent and Nortel.

“Eric is an extraordinary complement to the Sipera executive team, given his proven track record and background in both security and VoIP,” said Madhavapeddy. “It is rare to find someone with such experience with the top players in either security or unified communications, let alone both. We welcome Eric’s experience, drive and leadership, and expect similar successes here.”

”I’m excited to join the Sipera team,” said Winsborrow. “Sipera has an experienced management and R&D team, with deep domain expertise in VoIP, wireless and security, and the support of top tier investors. With unified communications on the verge of becoming mainstream, and the discovery of thousands of vulnerabilities relating to VoIP -- that traditional security will be unable to protect against, -- Sipera is uniquely positioned to enable enterprises and service providers to confidently deploy real-time unified communications solutions.“
