Aberdeen Group has issued a Research Brief focusing on the rising importance of security for Unified Communications deployed by enterprises.
The research is based on data gathered from 299 organizations in various stages of deploying Unified Communications, including Voice-over-IP, collaboration tools, videoconferencing and other mobility and messaging capabilities.

Total Unified Communications deployment project time can be reduced by up to one third when a company has implemented appropriate Unified Communications security measures.

Companies that deploy Unified Communications security are more likely to realize the advanced benefits of Unified Communications, such as enhanced collaboration, better company responsiveness, and higher productivity.

The adoption of new communications innovations, such as new devices and new applications, is easier on average for companies that have proactively planned and deployed Unified Communications security.
